Pioneer Camp: July 16-20
Children will travel back in time as they recreate the journey of the American settlers who headed west more than 150 years ago. They will discover how resourceful pioneers of all ages worked together on the exciting expedition to reach their new homes. Kids will make their own hand-churned butter and biscuits, build pioneer toys, dip candles and learn wagon songs sung on the trail.
Camps are one week long, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 12pm. A healthy snack is provided each day. Educator is Ryan Wynne.
Summer camps are presented by the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, and camps are led by trained Museum educators. These educators work at the Museum year-round, researching, developing and delivering innovative educational programs.
